Seasons 52 Opening April 2017

Seasons 52 will be Crabtree Valley Mall’s newest restaurant, opening April 3, 2017. Bringing great new businesses to the area is a primary focus of Crabtree Valley Mall and Seasons 52 continues that mission. The mall has been a fixture in the Raleigh community for a long time and we value our status as the preeminent destination for a great shopping and dining experience. Being selected to be the location for the first Seasons 52 restaurant in the state is something that the mall takes a lot of pride in. We know our community will also embrace Seasons 52 and fall in love with the way they embrace their motto of bringing the best of each season straight to your table.

The farm to table dining concept has been well received throughout the state and is gaining prominence. Creating menus from seasonal locally sourced ingredients showcases the passion and dedication of Seasons 52 for giving people great food and a wonderful dining experience in a casually sophisticated setting.  They feature rustic cooking techniques like brick oven roasting and open-fire grilling that enhance the natural flavors of fresh ingredients.

Delicious meals need to be paired with just the right wines, of course.  Season’s 52 has their Sommelier constantly searching the world for new wines from both well-known growing regions and up-and-coming vintners. This allows the restaurant to offer an ever-changing selection from unoaked Napa Whites to Spanish Tempranillo and bold red varietals that span the globe. Balanced, crisp, dry or fruit forward, their extensive collection matches their seasonal menu perfectly.

Here are a few of our favorite dishes:                                                  

The Artisan Cheese Fondue starter is a creamy blend of cave-aged Gruyere and cheddar cheeses served with a variety of breads. Molten cheese and fresh bread is a crowd pleasing appetizer that warms the heart and fills your belly. 

The Asian-glazed Chilean Sea bass entrée is a satisfying yet light, explosion of Far Eastern flavors. The sea bass is plated on a bed of shiitake mushrooms, snow peas and black rice and topped with spicy micro wasabi green that provide a playful kick to the dish.

It’s not just the food that changes to maximize seasonal freshness, seasonal cocktails are also featured on their bar menu. As we wait in anticipation for spring here are a few seasonal cocktails that help make the last few weeks of winter more enjoyable:

The Cucumber Basil Smash is Prairie Organic Cucumber Vodka, white cranberry juice, cucumber, basil and lime that delivers a clean, fresh spring flavor while providing warmth to fight off the chill of winter. 

The Grapefruit Negroni combines Prairie Organic Gin, house made ruby red grapefruit shrub and campari liqueur to create a sweet and sour cocktail that will brighten your day like a ray of spring sunshine.
